I have heard many opinions over the last week over the BCS's lack of credibility due to Alabama staying #2 even though they didn't win their conference and didn't even play in their championship game........
Well this is my opinion...
Oklahoma State University won the Big 12 title after pretty much dominating everyone, including a shalacking of arguably one of the elite teams in college football (except Iowa State), however Alabama gave up 21 points to a Division 1 2a college Georgia Southern. Alabama also played less ranked opponents than Oklahoma State. There is no doubt in my mind that LSU is the #1 team in college football, but if you can't win your own conference you have not earned the right to be considered to be anywhere near the National Title.
Next ESPN, how dare you call yourselves the world leader in sports when you broadcast Sam Houston State regular season and playoff games on ESPN3 and let your random faces on College Gameday tell everyone that LSU is the only undefeated team in College Football. I looked through all the divisions in NCAA College football and there are 2.... LSU and Sam Houston State University which are both ranked #1 in their divisions.
This weekend Sam Houston State University will take on Montana State in Huntsville and the game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Net SW. Hopefully FOX can get it right.
